Day 4

[info] lay in wait on a rooftop outside [info]flowen's cottage, watching for the candle light to go off. "You are mine," she thought, "you wolfy waffle loving scum!"

The candle went off, the gun fired, a hole appeared in his window and the body of [info]flowen fell lifeless to the floor.

"And you, my dear," a voice said behind [info], "are mine!" Gloved hands grabbed the hunter, a knife glinted in the moonlight. "Tonight I shall have a new pair of boots from you my dear!" Blood splashed over the rooftop. But before the serial killer could finish, howls went up, breaking the killer's silence as three wolf like forms bound across the cottage tops. The killer lifted up the body of [info] and made it look like it was waving. The wolves pounced, as the killer slid off into the shadows. The dead body of [info] was torn asunder, limb from limb as the wolves ate in a frenzy! Across the street, watching, horrified look on her face was [info]slownewsday. The savagery burned into her skull.

Come morning, [info]slownewsday hung from the rafters of her cottage, noose around her neck.

SUMMARY: [info] the HUNTER is DEAD! [info]flowen the VILLAGER is DEAD! [info]slownewsday the VILLAGER is DEAD!

Note - I'm sorry, I didn't wait long enough apparently for the cuddlepuddle script to harvest all the votes and got yesterday's lynch incorrect. I am very sorry, but can't do anything to undo it. The last vote I saw was 6 Sylvan, 5 Opiomancer. Again I apologize.

You were too late, [info]starryshadows. More people, myself included, might have changed our votes if only you'd given us more time.

Dammit.

[info] is the confirmed hunter (confirmed by no other Hunter coming forward yesterday). She was wrong about [info]sylvan, but I think yesterday made it clear that their rivalry got too personal and clouded judgement.

Let's try to keep clearer heads today, people.

The most suspicious people to me at this point are [info]evilben and [info]dragonattack, both on hunches. But I'm not ready to vote yet. [info]hungryandhollow and [info], what are your reasons for suspecting [info] yesterday?

So the opiomancer the hunter killed flowen, and the wolves killed opionmancer, and slownewsday died for going inactive. The serial killer didn't strike!

So that one of:

- The serial killer and wolves both targetted opiomancer. Joe, could you clarify who gets the kill in that case?
- The bodyguard saved the victim of the serial killer.
- The witch saved the victim of the serial killer.

wow, the carnage

I have to say, and this may jinx me, but I do have to say, thank you Lorriet for the advice. This is the first time I've ever made it to day four in a Millers Hollow game!

The advice by the way was, "shut up and you'll live longer you big dork!" or words to that effect. :)

So... Yeah, regarding voting. I think yesterday was pretty much a wash. I don't see any evidence pointing at anyone in particular at this point.

Giant Laser is doing that leadership thing. Stride is doing her usual list thing. Evilben is doing the usual evilben "not a wolf thing".

So... Should we elect a Sheriff now?

wow.... five innocents in one day/night... we're not doing so hot here guys... the only wolf outed was killed by the cereal killer.

for now, since he seems to want to know if he gets credit for the kill i'd vote giantlaser as either wolf or killer. that may change when i get off work tonight...

which i have to take off for soon, dont take my sudden silence (i posted alot the past couple days) as anything suspicous

I am the SEER. See my post.

[info]ragnarok_now

September 24 2009, 20:24:33 UTC 2 years ago

If the Seer has at least one wolf and a couple confirmed people they may want to consider coming out so we can start saving them five times (and so the killer doesn't accidentally target them).

Based on past games though the Seer likely spied on people who have already died. This is one of the reasons why it is not bad policy to target the quiet players for confirmation.

[info]giantlaser

September 24 2009, 20:51:10 UTC 2 years ago

The SEER does not have 5 days of safety with the BODYGUARD-MARTYR-BODYGUARD-WITCH-BODYGUARD plan. On day 4, the WITCH can only save the SEER from the WOLVES. The SERIAL KILLER could, at that time, target the SEER. The SEER isn't as big a threat to the SERIAL KILLER as the HUNTER was, but that's still a risk.

Here are my list of questions for the day:

a) Why did the bodyguard not save our hunter? That was the most telegraphed kill in the world. I'm going to have to assume it was either doubt, inexperience, or possibly just bad luck on the timing. I'm really hoping it was the latter.

b) Giantlaser, what caused you to be suspicious of me? I posted early that I had doubts about Gwydion, and he has yet to do anything to dissuade me of them.

c) Granting that, I'm not 100% sure we need to kill him, either. The fact that he did not claim to be a special to save himself makes me slightly less suspicious. And now there's actual information to go off of (somewhat)

I'm going to start the day with a couple of new concerns. Snoopyh42's lack of willingness to switch his vote for the good of the village concerns me. Also, I've got a sneaking suspicion about Stride. I'm a little hesitant to target her given her absence, but by the same token, abstaining on a close vote like that is unlike her. Yes she could have not had the time to go through and make an informed decision, but she SHOULD have had hunches from before, and her unwillingness to commit makes me more suspicious. I'm going to wait on voting for now, but I'd love to get some dialogue going.

[info]giantlaser

September 24 2009, 20:48:06 UTC 2 years ago

My suspicion of you is only a hunch. Looking back on past things you've said, nothing is incriminating. Just a tendency to accuse others. Which is par for this particular course.

Seriously with so much gossip, accusations and mud slinging back and forth yesterday. I ask why would the serial killer not expect the wolves to go after opionmancer last night. Did he waste a kill or just not trust the wolves to do their job.

[info]faymar

September 24 2009, 22:59:43 UTC 2 years ago

Yesterday was kind of a cluster-f*ck.

I, too, don't get why the body guard didn't guard Opi. And, sadly, I don't know that we're any better of than Day 1 as far a leads go.

Maybe look at who Opi mentioned as possibles based on snooping in someone's LJ...the wolves may have felt safe because none of the suspicious people were wolves?

Just grasping at straws here...

Lunch (dinner) time run down.

My reason for gwydion was a hunch and the'd already been voted for. I was just trying to divert votes away from the possible (now confirmed) hunter and lovers. It was almost Stride. Nothing personal, just trying to save lives. Too bad I failed.

On a suspicious note, in the 11th hour, logophilia refused to switch their vote to gwydion even to save the hunter and lovers. It was the way they put it that struck me. I'd link to it, but I'm on my iPhone and I have no clue how to make that work. Anyways, that implies wolves, lovers, or strong OOC loyalties. I won't cast a vote just yet. I'll wait for more discussion.

Anything to say, Logophilia?

Side note, I'll be largely unreachable till after 9:30 or so. Not being quiet, just working.

I'm somewhat suspicious of Stride myself, as she's been very quiet. I am wary of a prejudice there, though, since a) I've been tricked by her before and b) I've been tricked by quiet people playing the too-busy-IRL card. And frankly, considering my track record, my suspicion of Stride is probably the best indicator that she's not a wolf :P

OK - have finally made my way back to the computer - to discover I'm the lynching target.

Honestly, as I was unable to post till now, it doesn't surprise me, but it's disturbing to see my name on the rope with not even a THEORY why it's up there ...

As per usual - I've been looking at the data, and I'm at a bit of a loss.

I'm ... suprised the BGard didnt protect Oph, unless the BGard was convinced she was a wolf or the serial killer.

I'm sad that the seer has not been able to gain enough info to come forward, but it's not that surprising - considering the high body count over the last several days and the still large number of folks remaining - it's possible all there scryings have died, and unlikely they have found a wolf.

It might be too late considering how poorly late voting went last time, but I VOTE dragonattack.

I'm pained to vote on my gut - but it seems that allthough you present information freely, it's not the most well thought out information, and you seem reticent to change your position once it's shown the data is poor.

I beleieve I'm an asset to the town, please don't lynch me on a whim :)

[info]dragonattack

September 25 2009, 15:37:59 UTC 2 years ago

I have lots to say in response to this, but I think that ad hominem attacks really get us nowhere. All my opinions are in fact well thought out, and whether or not I can communicate that is my failing, apparently. I'm not going to pile on because I agree you may be an asset to the village, but you've chosen poorly in targeting me.

This declaration means that I will die tomorrow night (PROBABLY) via wolf attack if not lynched today.

I will save my life tonight (if not lynched) so even if I'm not lynched, don't BGuard me (I doubt the serial killer will try to kill me off at this point).
