Day 1

The sun was obscured by dark clouds and fog. As the new residents unpacked and set up their new homes they were interrupted by ominous ringing of the bells in the town square. Gathering they found Jeeves looking solemn standing in front of a podium a duck puddling around at his feet.

"I have a grave news today. The baker JoelZero was found gruesomly murdered during the night. Even worse, he was partially devoured ... apparently served up with some cinnamon and sprinkles." the mayor's butler began.

"Through investigation, the humble mayor has determined that four beasts, wolves most foul, have moved into Millers Hollow with the rest of the new residents! They are hiding amongst you, yes I said amongst you and could be your neighbor or loved one!"

"The mayor is demanding that we find these horrid creatures and execute them. Therefore you must decide today who amongst you is a wolf so that before sundown when these creatures are at their peak power we can kill one in retribution and hopefully begin purging this horror from our small hamlet."

"Debat now and choose wisely for we do not want to accidentally kill an innocent amongst you!"

SUMMARY: Four wolves live in Millers Hollow! Find one and lynch it!

"Wolves ? How ... alarming. And apparently there are BATs which need removal as well ?"

He pushes his eyeglasses further up his nose, wobbling the book a bit in the process.

Hello, other villagers.

I'm new to playing but read over a couple of the previous games. As there's no logical plan of action for day 0 voting, I'm going with the mob. vote [info]maniakes, although that may change as the voting progresses. My vote is also for sale, should someone wish to purchase it. At least for today.

Oh, and I'll take some waffles, if there are any left. :)

Hmmm, I only get to speak once before I have to get back to work, so I need to make it count.

We have cuddlycthulu fattening people up with Waffles. Ophiomancer being mean to someone offering delicious Waffels. Cambler using logic. Stride and Maniakes using love and tradition.

Hmmm. Hell, I'll VOTE STRIDE to continue the tradition and even out the votes.

And, BTW, Not a wolf. Like always, I am a plain villager.

Early in the game, especially on the first day, you either have to vote randomly or base your vote on prejudices left over from earlier games. Players that have shown themselves in the past to be the most dangerous wolves due to their preternatural ability for manipulation tend to top my list on the first day. Yes, I am aware of the statistics (please, let’s wait a few days before we start getting the numbers posts!) and I am aware that newbies, of which I have no behavioral knowledge of are just as likely to be wolves as anyone else. Yes I know there is a good chance that none of the people on my list are wolves and that by calling them out any villagers on the list might think that I am a wolf. And yes, I am sure there is at least one grammatical error in this post.

I also know that I tend to ramble. I can write a ton and not actually “say” anything useful.

So here’s my list of some players that are super dangerous as wolves (arranged alphabetically): Baronlaw, Cambler, Gorillashaman, Maniakes, and Sonicbunny. Yes, I know I can only vote for one. And no- I don’t know who I will vote for, and I reserve the right to change my mind to any player I feel like for any reason.

Now pass those waffles. All this ruminating has made me hungry. Are there any strawberries left?

as a reader of some past games, I have seen some of this deviousness in action. In fact, my first strategy was going to be to attempt to kill off those most capable of devious uses of logic, and I may still, as the game progresses. But for now, Mob mentality. Which, incidentally, appears to already be targeting a person on the list.

I feel quite confident that werewolves would not eat waffles, thus although I am new to this picturesque location, I already count the waffle eaters (and bakers) among my villagy friends.

Although I find a dislike of waffles to be a distressing sign, I don't think it's actually proof of wolfiness.

I would feel better about voting if there was anyone with a smear of blood left on their mouth or an odd accumulation of fur in the shower drain.

I don't suppose anyone has noticed particularly sharp teeth when dining in the evening?

Totally weird. Not just one but two. I don't care to speculate about the motivations of the actual players (rather than the characters they play). So I'll just assume this is a particularly violent way to opt out at the last minute.

Sylvan had been standing around watching the waffles and accusations fly around the town square.

"Everyone, do you not think a modicum of calm and discussion is needed here? I am just a scholar who was looking for a quite place to study and write, but it seems fate had another plan. As such, I have a couple of things I'd like to point out. First, someone stated that we should be keeping up our strength. I agree. We need to keep our wits about us and stay focused and prepaired to deal with this event.

Second, These two gentleman who have accused themselves of being werewolves. I put forward that perhaps they are so terrorfied of being eaten in the night that they wish for us to give them a more civilizated death in which their bodies will not be consumed. While I shudder at the thought of my remains being feasted upon by beasts of Hell and do not wish to die any time soon, I shall not being giving in so quickly. We should stand fast-- united we can overcome this threat.

Third, this Ophiomancer seems quite happy to toss around accusations, even leveling one at that fine impromtu baker of ours. While I do not believe lynching anyone without hard evidence is a good idea, I have beem called upon to vote, so I vote ophiomancer.

Lastly, I would love a waffle."
